What are the roles & responsibilities of a Partner?
Academy Partners are full participants in the Academy Network and will work in a number of different areas to support the growth and quality of the Academy locally and globally. Academy Partners have several roles and responsibilities within the Network.
Advocacy and Communications
- Advocate for sustainable livelihoods training locally and for the growth of the Academy training programme, and seek support for the Academy and its Partners, including representing the Academy Network to external stakeholders;
- Grow awareness of the work of the Academy Network, including contributing to and sharing Academy publications, newsletters, and traditional/social media with relevant stakeholders;
- Keeping their profile in the Academy Partner Portal active;
Curriculum and training materials
- Use the Academy Training Guides and other materials and resources to further the cause of sustainable livelihoods training for smallholders;
- Work with the Academy for the contextualisation of the Academy Training materials;
- Share any contextualisation or translation of the Academy Training guide and other materials and resources with the Academy Network, e.g. by publishing them and making them available through the Academy’s online community;
Technical assistance and learning
- Ensure the organisation’s trainers have received a training of trainers from an Academy Master Trainer prior to Academy Training programme implementation;
- Share experiences and learning with the Academy and the Academy Network to enable other Academy Partners to leverage the experience of other Partners in the Academy Network;
Research, Monitoring & Evaluation
- Monitor the partner's training programme implementation to ensure quality of programme delivery;
- Maintain organisational data and complete the annual Academy Partner survey;
- Share any research publications, evaluation findings and case studies of [[NAME OF PARTNER]]’s Academy Training programmes.
Governance and resource mobilisation
- The Partner raises its own resources required to implement their Academy Training programme;
- Work with the Academy Management Team to prepare and submit joint funding proposals to donors if needed
