    Training of SHF on Social sustainability

    Benefits of being in a sustainability group

    • The training started at about 11:00am at OKe with Dewell Farmers Multipurpose Cooperative Members in collaboration with Okomu oil palm company. 

     

    • Training on the benefits of being in a sustainable group started; SHFs were tasked with explaining what a sustainability group is and the importance of belonging to one.

     

    • The trainer mentioned other benefits of being in a sustainability group and encouraged the SHFs to develop their group/cooperative to become sustainable. She added that the cooperative can venture into other businesses as this will help them improve their livelihood.

     

    • Other activities were carried out to explain the concept of communication and the importance of effective communication.

     

    • At the end of the training, SHFs appreciate the training. The farmers' group are ready to organize their cooperative and will work together as a group to ensure a sustainable livelihood for themselves and their families.
